Colombian- Spanish soprano and musicologist Patricia Caicedo is a leading authority on the vocal repertoire of Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula and has taught and performed around the world. She has sung in the United States, Canada, Denmark, Holland, Germany, Russia, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Latin America.
Internationally recognized as a leading expert in the study & performance of the Latin American & Iberian vocal repertoire, Patricia has published five books and 8 CDs that are a reference in the field. She regularly gives concert-lectures and master classes, and serves as Artist-in-Residence at leading universities in the United States and Europe .
Patricia is the founder and director of the , a Summer Course and a Concert Series dedicated to the study of the history and interpretation of the Latin American and Iberian Art Song in Spanish, Catalan, and Portuguese. She holds a Ph.D. in Musicology from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a Medical Doctor´s degree from the Escuela Colombiana de Medicina.
